TREBLE BLENDS

THE PROJECT

This was an NTU Live client brief with two brands called Wigflex and Castle Rock. The aim of this group project was to create a craft beer collection range that combined both brand identities and visions, alongside meeting with a student consumer group. This project involved getting to understand the different types of beers and how that could correlate to the craft beer collection. We created Treble Blends, a craft beer collection that celebrated three different sub-genres of DNB. Each individual beer had a character, flavour, and alcohol percentage to represent each different genre. However, all three cans cohesively worked together as a collection. A lot of the illustrations on the can are characters that I have illustrated specifically on Beer Necessities and Groovy Juice. The look of the cans was a key element to the success of this project. As a group, we came up with the concept of each can having a QR code on which a customer could scan, and it would take them to a playlist related to that specific genre of music that the can was inspired from.

Beer Necessities was inspired by Jungle music. This beer was a dry-hopped New England IPA and had flavours of Mango, Banana and Guava as we wanted it to be tropical to correlate with the Jungle music theme.

Techtonic was inspired by the sounds of Techno music. This was a sour IPA and had a distinct flavour of Citrus Tangy Lemon.

Groovy Juice, inspired by liquid DNB, this beer was a low-alcohol red ale and had Floral and Honey flavours.
